Lewis S. Bliss, M.D. graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1982. His undergraduate work was done at Texas A&M University in Microbiology. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has been in private practice in the Sacramento Valley since 1986. Dr Bliss's areas of expertise include cataract surgery, Multifocal Lens implant surgery, and laser vision correction surgery(LASIK), as well as the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. Dr. Bliss specializes in multifocal lens implantation and astigmatism correction to provide his patients with the best surgical outcomes possible. Dr Bliss is constantly investigating state-of-the-art surgical techniques and equipment available. He has studied surgical advancements extensively throughout the world and strives to offer his patients the very finest technology available.

Keith Yamanishi, O.D. has worked with Dr Bliss since March 1997. He is committed to the finest in continuing education and as such attained his therapeutics and glaucoma certification. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 1989. His clinical training continued in his residency program at the West Los Angeles V.A. Hospital. Dr Yamanishi has been practicing optometry in optometric and ophthalmic settings since 1990. Dr.Yamanishi provides comprehensive eye exams, pre-operative and post-operative care for refractive and cataract surgery, and is an expert in contact lens fittings.

Rebecca Kennedy, O.D. received her training at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Her undergraduate work was completed at the University of Washington, Seattle. Dr Kennedy joined Bliss Eye Associates in September 2003. She is therapeutics and glaucoma certified and provides a full range of optometric services that include expertise in contact lens fitting, pre-operative and post-operative care for cataract surgery, multifocal implant lens surgery and laser vision correction surgery, as well as comprehensive eye examinations.

Linda B. Rappa, O.D. graduated from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in June 2004. Her undergraduate work was done at St. John Fisher College, Rochester, New York where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in June 2000. Dr Rappa is therapeutics certified and provides a full range of optometric eye care services including comprehensive eye exams, cataract and LASIK pre-operative and post-operative eye care, and contact lens fittings. Dr Rappa is President of the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society.

Shephali Patel, O.D. graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Where she graduated in the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Fraternity. Her undergraduate work was done at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr Patel is therapeutics certified and will provide a full range of optometric services including complete eye exams, contact lens fittings, and pre and post operative eye care for cataract and laser vision correction surgeries.

Stephanie Yoshimura, O.D. graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 2003. Her undergraduate work was done at the University of California, Davis in 1998. In July 2004, she completed her residency in primary care/hospital based optometry at the Sepulveda  V.A. Hospital in Northridge, CA. Dr Yoshimura is well versed in the areas of laser vision correction(LASIK), pre and post operative care for cataract surgery, comprehensive eye care and is certified to treat primary open angle glaucoma.
